The Department of Information Systems & Operations Management (ISOM) was established in 1995 alongside the founding of the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kuwait University.

Our department offers two undergraduate degree programs: a Bachelor’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. With a faculty of over 34 distinguished academics specializing in Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics, and Mathematics, ISOM is the largest department among the six within CBA.

ISOM plays a pivotal role in CBA’s curriculum, delivering core courses required for all business students, as well as a range of graduate courses in Management Sciences, Information Systems, and Statistics. These courses are integral to the MBA, MS in Economics, and MS in Accounting programs. Additionally, all courses offered by ISOM and CBA are accredited by AACSB, the world's leading accreditation body for business education.

Each year, Kuwait University, through CBA, awards two scholarships to outstanding Kuwaiti students pursuing a Ph.D. in Operations Management, Management Information Systems, or Applied Statistics.
