The department of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems was established in 1995 with the establishment of the College of Business Administration in Kuwait University.

We offer two undergraduate degree programs: Bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. The department has more than 34 Academic faculty members in the areas of Operation Managements, Operation Research, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics and Mathematics, which makes it the largest department among the 6 departments within CBA.

QMIS teaches 7 core courses which are required for all students studying in CBA, plus a number of graduate courses in Management Sciences, Information Systems and Statistics in the different Master Degree Programs offered In CBA, mainly; MBA, MS Economics and MS Accounting Programs. All courses offered by QMIS department and CBA are accredited by AACSB; the world leading accreditation body for Business Administration programs in the world.

The College of Business Administration through Kuwait University offers, on annual bases, two scholarships for distinguished Kuwaiti students to study for the PhD degree in the Areas of Operation Management, Management Information Science and Applied Statistics.
